William Forbes
William Forbes is a Managing Director in Perella Weinberg’s Advisory business in London. He has advised on M&A and Capital Markets transactions across financial services, with a particular focus on Insurance, Insurance Distribution, InsurTech, Wealth Management and FinTech.
His recent notable transactions include advising Kestrel on its merger with Maiden Holdings, Zendrive on its sale to Intuit Credit Karma, World Insurance on its investment from Goldman Sachs Asset Management; abrdn on the sale of its discretionary fund management business to LGT; Alera’s acquisition of Propel Insurance and its recapitalization by Genstar and Flexpoint Ford; Align Financial on its sale to DUAL; Galway Insurance on its sale to Harvest Partners; Root on its reinsurance structuring and IPO; Palomar on its IPO; and a strategic investment in Acrisure by Blackstone and Harvest Partners.
Prior to joining Perella Weinberg in 2025, Mr. Forbes spent 15 years at Evercore in their San Francisco and London offices. Earlier in his career, he worked as an Analyst at Rothschild & Co in London and Hong Kong.
Mr. Forbes earned an M.A. (Oxon) in Economics and Management from Oxford University.
