Paul Perea is a Partner and Head of M&A for TPH&Co., the energy business of Perella Weinberg Partners.  Mr. Perea has over 25 years of experience advising clients across a wide range of strategic endeavors and M&A transactions, including public and private company transactions, mergers-of-equals, take-private (including 13e-3) transactions, contested situations, related party/special committee matters, cross-border inversions, carve-outs and joint ventures.

Mr. Perea serves as Co-Chair of the firm’s Fairness Opinion Committee and previously served on the firm’s Management Committee.

Prior to joining the firm in 2014, Mr. Perea was a partner in the M&A department at Baker Botts L.L.P.

Mr. Perea earned a B.A. in Government from The University of Texas at Austin and a J.D. from Vanderbilt University School of Law, where he served on the Law Review.  He serves on the Executive Council of the Kay Bailey Hutchison Energy Center at The University of Texas and the Board of Directors of St. Agnes Academy.
