Matt Rahmani
Matt Rahmani is a Managing Director at Perella Weinberg. Based in New York, he focuses on advising companies, sponsors and creditors regarding capital solutions and capital structure optimization, as well as liability management and restructuring transactions.
Mr. Rahmani has over 15 years of corporate finance experience assisting clients in connection with a wide range of matters. Recent notable assignments include advising Optiv, Inc. on its $1.3 billion debt maturity extension, E.W. Scripps on its comprehensive extension of $1.5 billion of debt maturities, FTX on its $14 billion restructuring, and Sabre Corporation on its $700 million pari-plus financing.
Mr. Rahmani has worked with companies across industries including Consumer, Cryptocurrency, Healthcare, Industrials, Leisure, Media, Mining, Oil & Gas, Technology, and Travel.
Mr. Rahmani has also worked with numerous secured and unsecured creditor groups including having represented lenders of Ardagh Group, Hearthside Foods, iHeart, Hexion, Hornblower, New Fortress Energy, Pyxus, Salt Creek Midstream, Sinclair, Springs Window Fashions, Thrive Pet, Valaris and numerous others. Unsecured Creditors Committee representations include Celsius Networks, Diamond Offshore, and Franchise Group.
Prior to joining Perella Weinberg in 2016, Mr. Rahmani was at CIT Group from 2012 to 2016 where he invested in middle-market private debt and syndicated loans in the TMT and Gaming sectors. He began his career at Deloitte, rotating through consulting and financial advisory groups.
Mr. Rahmani received a Bachelor of Science, with a double major in Accounting and Finance from Yeshiva University. Mr. Rahmani currently holds the Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) designation and was previously a CPA in NY.
