Friedrich von Schwedler is a Managing Director in Perella Weinberg Partners’ Healthcare team and is based in Munich, Germany. He focuses on advising clients in the Life Sciences sector which includes the Biopharma, Specialty Pharma, Major Pharma and Life Science Tools space.

Friedrich has more than 16 years of investment banking experience, assisting companies on a wide range of strategic matters. He joined Perella in June 2023 from Credit Suisse where he spent nearly four years as co-head of Healthcare for EMEA. During his time at Credit Suisse, he advised the German pharmaceutical company Gruenenthal on its Joint Venture formation with Kyowa Kirin international, the Biotech SPAC vehicle of EQT life sciences, EBAC, on its merger with Oculis, and Bayer on its acquisition of Vividion.

Prior to joining Credit Suisse in January of 2020, Mr. von Schwedler was at Deutsche Bank from 2015 until 2020, where he most recently served as a Director in the Global Healthcare team in New York.

Mr. von Schwedler earned his bachelors’ degree in International Economics from L’università commerciale Luigi Bocconi in Milan, Italy after studies at Bocconi and l’Institut d’études politiques de Paris (Sciences-Po) in Paris.
