Mr. Chan is a Partner in Perella Weinberg Partners’ Advisory business. He focuses on advising clients in the Technology, Financial Technology and Business Services sectors.

Mr. Chan has more than 15 years of investment banking and related experience assisting companies on a wide range of strategic matters. During his tenure at Perella Weinberg Partners, he has advised KKR and CD&R on its acquisition of Cloudera; Bugsnag on its sale to SmartBear; PayPal on its acquisitions of Happy Returns, Honey, and Hyperwallet; Calabrio on its sale to Thoma Bravo; VMware on its $11.0B special dividend in conjunction with Dell’s $21.7B exchange of DVMT Tracking Stock; KKR on its acquisition of Calabrio and subsequently Calabrio on its acquisition of Teleopti; Bitnami on its sale to VMware; BlackBerry on its acquisition of Cylance; DataFox on its sale to Oracle; Xirrus on its sale to Riverbed; Global Capacity on its sale to GTT Communications; Mobeam on its sale to Samsung; Seagate on its acquisition of Dot Hill Systems; Anvato on its sale to Google; PricewaterhouseCoopers on its acquisition of Booz & Co.; Oracle on its acquisition of Pillar Data Systems; Google’s Special Committee on its recapitalization and issuance of Class C non-voting stock; and Sea Ltd’s IPO on the NYSE.

Prior to joining Perella Weinberg Partners in 2011, Mr. Chan was at Greenhill & Co. from 2009 to 2011, where he most recently served as an Associate in the M&A team responsible for Technology and Business Services sectors. He began his career as a Management Consultant at Accenture, serving Technology and Telecom clients.

Mr. Chan earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering and Computer Science and a Bachelor of Arts in Applied Mathematics in Systems Theory from University of California, Berkeley and a Masters in Business Administration from Columbia Business School.
