Richard Slimmon
Richard Slimmon is a Vice Chairman at Perella Weinberg. Based in London, Mr. Slimmon serves as an advisor to European financial companies. Prior to joining Perella Weinberg, Mr. Slimmon was a Senior Advisor and Chairman of the Financial Institutions business at Gleacher Shacklock.
Mr. Slimmon has wide experience providing advice on mergers and acquisitions, IPOs and capital raising for financial institutions in the UK, Europe and the United States. His range of past clients in the financial institutions sector include banks such as Lloyds Banking Group, RBS, Santander, Rabobank and UniCredit, insurance companies such as RSA, Old Mutual, Friends Provident, asset management companies such as Schroders, Man Group and F&C and, in the specialised financial sector, the London Stock Exchange, Markit and LCH.
Prior to joining Gleacher Shacklock, Mr. Slimmon worked at Deutsche Bank, before which he worked at Merrill Lynch, latterly as head of the European Financial Institutions M&A business.
Mr. Slimmon has an MA and MPhil from Oxford University and a PhD from the University of Bristol Business School.
