Mr. Sbayteh is an Executive Director in Perella Weinberg Partners’ Advisory business. He focuses on advising clients across the Middle East region.
Mr. Sbayteh has more than 12 years of investment banking experience assisting companies on a wide range of strategic matters. During his tenure at Perella Weinberg Partners, he has advised Majid Al Futtaim on its acquisition of the franchise operator of the French retailer Géant in UAE, Bahrain and Kuwait; Warburg Pincus on its 49% acquisition of Network International from Abraaj together with General Atlantic; Network International on its bolt-on acquisition of Emerging Markets Payments (EMP), NBK Capital on its 38% sale of Nayifat Finance Company; Qatar Insurance Company (QIC) on its acquisition of Antares out of Lloyd’s of London; and Emirates NBD on its $500m acquisition of BNP Paribas Egypt, among other transactions.
Prior to joining Perella Weinberg Partners in August of 2011, Mr. Sbayteh was at Nomura and its predecessor firm Lehman Brothers from 2008 to 2010, where he most recently served as an Associate in the Middle East investment banking division. He was previously at Sambacapital, where he focused on advising Saudi clients across equity capital markets transactions. Mr. Sbayteh began his career in 2005 as an Analyst at Arab Bank’s investment banking subsidiary in Jordan.
Mr. Sbayteh earned a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration with distinction from the American University of Beirut (AUB). He is also a holder of the Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) designation.
